Not at all. It's completely your choice. You're welcome to observe any part of the process, handle your placenta with gloves, or stay cozied up with your newborn and have nothing to do with it. Your specialist is happy to work around whatever feels right for you.

There may be a mild aroma during the steaming phase, which lasts about ten minutes. We steam your placenta with lemon and ginger root, so you may only notice those scents. Some clients detect a stronger smell, similar to meat cooking. If you're sensitive to odors, we suggest stepping out of the kitchen or lighting a candle during that brief time period.

We work hard to be as unobtrusive as possible. You've just had a baby! The one exception is on day two, when your dehydrated placenta is ground into powder. The grinder is fairly loud, but it only runs for a few minutes.

No. While many clients choose to be home, it is not required. You’re welcome to observe every step of the process, remain elsewhere in the home, or leave if that feels more comfortable. We want the experience to be as easy and stress-free as possible for you.

No. We bring all necessary equipment and supplies. We simply need access to your kitchen and stove. When the process is complete, your kitchen will be cleaned and sanitized, leaving the space sparkling clean.

All hospitals in our Tampa Bay service area allow patients to request release of their placenta. Each facility has its own policies and procedures. We recommend letting your OB, midwife, or birth team know your plan in advance so they can help coordinate the release with hospital staff.

In rare circumstances, your provider may send your placenta for testing due to concerns during pregnancy, labor, or birth. When this happens, the placenta is typically unavailable for encapsulation. If this occurs, we refund any unused services, less the deposit that covers the cost of your transportation kit.

Most clients taste nothing. We wipe each capsule individually with sterile gauze to remove any residual powder from the outside. If you do notice something, it's typically a mild, earthy flavor comparable to an herbal vitamin. Your specialist will also provide consumption guidelines that can help reduce any taste.

Most clients receive between 100 and 200+ capsules depending on the size of their placenta. With typical usage, capsules often last 4 to 8 weeks postpartum. Adding a tincture extends the benefit period significantly, as tinctures do not expire and can be used for months or even years as needed.

A tincture is a concentrated liquid extract. Vanilla extract is a great example. A placenta tincture is made by infusing your dehydrated, ground placenta powder in high-quality, gluten-free vodka. It matures over six weeks and does not require refrigeration.

You use it after your capsules are finished, during times of stress, anxiety, emotional lows, or major life transitions. Simply place a few drops under your tongue or add them to a drink. It’s optional but popular with clients who want long-lasting support.
